Mothers and daughters. If boutiques could have parents then Turley Road’s doting mother would be Studio 90. Without question much of what makes Turley Road good comes from the 18 years of experience of designing clothing for women under the Studio 90 label. When Studio 90 co-founder, Jill Hilgenberg retired in June 2007, Angela Turley was presented with the opportunity to work with her daughter, Kate. Together they decided to restructure the company in a way that would make it a bit more owner friendly while still maintaining the Studio 90 tradition of providing a collection of easy but unusual items for women. Both mother and daughter brought much to the new venture. Angela’s experience and Kate’s enthusiasm have made Turley Road a fun place to shop. By drawing heavily from the rich pool of brilliant designers, especially those from the Chicago area, Turley Road has become the well-edited store that would have made her mother proud. The wholesale division of Studio 90 continues to sell to boutiques nationwide.
